THE CHILDREN’S HOUSE AT THE RDS PRIMARY SCIENCE FAIR
The 9-12 Senior Class worked very hard to put together their presentation for the RDS Primary Science Fair 2014 that took place in January at the RDS Ballsbridge.
The name of their presentation was ‘WHICH WAY IS UP?’ and addressed such questions as ‘Is North ‘UP’?’, Optical Illusions and ‘Do Plants Respond to Gravity?’ (geotropism).
Their research was widespread and included growing plants in different conditions, conducting surveys into optical illusions and sending questionnaires to Montessori schools in the Southern Hemisphere about how they perceive ‘UP’.
Well done to everyone who took part!
VISITORS FROM UNICEF
Claire McKeever and Nikita White from UNICEF came and spoke to the Senior Class and Extended Day students about The International Rights of the Child and the hardships of life in Syria for children.
